About the Proposal

Engaged:

March 26, 2014
Robert and I were high school sweethearts. He always said that one day I would be his wife but I thought he was just being the typical high school boy back then. Fast forward 10 years, we managed to maintain our relationship. We planned a cruise to the Bahamas for both of our families. It was on this cruise that Robert got down on one knee in front of family, friends, and hundreds of others to ask me to be his wife during a formal dinner. Everyone was in on the surprise, even the wait staff. In that moment I felt the world stop. My response after so many years…. “Of course!”

About the Dress

Designer:

Eve of Milady  //

Kleinfeld Consultant:

Dianne
After trying about 75 dresses at a bunch of stores, I left Kleinfeld for last. I dragged my mom to NYC where we met with my lovely consultant Dianne. Though I made a list of my top five dresses from the website, I forgot it at home. Dianne asked two questions, the first about my budget and the second about my venue. I answered with my budget requirements and said I did not want my venue to upstage my dress. Without showing her any pictures, Dianne picked the perfect Eve of Milady dress. Once I saw the dress outside of its garment bag, I knew it was the one. The sample size was too small for me to try the dress on but I refused to try on any of the other dresses picked. I purchased the dress in my size and it fit my body wonderfully for my wedding. My family and friends thought I was completely crazy for buying a dress I never tried on but to me it was THAT beautiful. Guest at my wedding complimented my dress the entire time and continue to do so months later.

About the Wedding

Married:

June 4, 2016  //

Location:

New Jersey  //

Venue:

The Venetian
Our wedding day was perfect. We held our ceremony at Faith Chapel Reformed Church which was the very first place my husband met my family when we were in high school. The only way that he could see me outside of school was at church so having our ceremony there was very important to us. From the church, we had our reception at the Venetian. We had the best day with no issues. Our guest were pleased with every part of the wedding from start to finish and as the bride/wedding planner, I was delighted. Unlike most brides, my stomach was full at the end of the night and we both fully enjoyed the celebration of our love.
