Engaged:

The year before was a crazy one! It was my first year at a new job and my boyfriend, Sean and I had planned a vacation to Bermuda in July. Starting in March, Sean started having health issues. He ended up in and out of the hospital during April and May and we discovered he’d need a surgery that would take place in June. Due to all of his health issues, we thought we would have to cancel our trip to Bermuda! Instead, on our first night on vacation, we went to dinner at Four Ways Inn, where he proposed! They brought out a beautiful dessert, popped champagne, and the piano player played Louie Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World”. It was romantic, sweet, and private. With all of the craziness going on, I am still shocked at how well he pulled it off!

I know it’s a cliche to say “you just know”, but I did! I didn’t want a big group of people, so my parents and fiance came. My fiance went to a local bar, while I tried on dresses. I tried on about five dresses. When I put this dress on, it was absolutely perfect! My Mom, Dad, and I cried. It was a very special moment between us.

We had a small destination wedding at The Reefs Hotel and Club in Bermuda. It was absolutely breathtaking! Our wedding was meant to be on a pier overlooking the Ocean, but the weather unfortunately did not cooperate. However, we had an amazing time dancing, eating, drinking, and partying the night away!
