Kleinfeld Love Stories

Sam and Anthony - 7/11/20

About the Proposal

Engaged:

May 25, 2019

Anthony completely surprised Me Memorial Day weekend last year. I knew it was coming but had no idea when. I thought we were just going out to dinner but before we got to the restaurant he asked to go for a walk in Washington Square park. I thought this was unusual but didn’t think much of it. He proposed and then we went to dinner. I had no idea that he planned a surprise party for when we got home. I opened the door to our apartment and there was all our friends and family waiting for us.

About the Dress

Kleinfeld Consultant:

Farrah

My dress was the Karter by Rivini. I saw it on Kleinfeld’s Instagram around the time I got engaged. I knew I wanted a sweetheart neck ballgown so instantly I loved it. I was about 8 months from my wedding when I started shopping and I had gone to 2 other appointments before Kleinfelds. I still hadn’t found a dress I loved and I was about 7 months out. I asked to try on Karter but was disappointed to learn it was only there for a trunk show. Luckily my consultant Farrah quickly figured out a solution. The designer would let Kleinfeld have the dress for me to try on Saturday Labor Day weekend. This was still 3 weeks away and with my wedding so close, I had to keep looking. In those 3 weeks I went to a bunch of appointments. I tried on about 25 dresses but still didn’t see anything I loved. I starting to get really stressed. Finally the day came to go try on Karter and I instantly knew it was the perfect dress for me. I bought it that day.

About the Wedding

Married:

July 11, 2020  //

Location:

Marlboro, New Jersey   //

Venue:

Rolling Hills Day Camp

Due to some family circumstances (groom’s mother was re-diagnosed with cancer a couple months after we got engaged), we set our wedding date for 3/21/20.  Then COVID happened which forced us to cancel only 9 days before. At the time, we postponed to 9/5 but within a few months we realized we were not going to get to have the wedding we planned. My mother in law’s condition got worse and we realized we needed to get married soon. Luckily, we were able to get married at my father’s day camp where we were able to have a small outdoor wedding. In early June we set a date – 5 weeks away. We ended up having the most special wedding with our closest friends and family.
