December 25, 2017Greg and I were introduced after hurricane Sandy hit our neighborhoods. We dated for five years, and while opening presents together on Christmas morning in our new home… Greg proposed! It was just the two of us under the tree, and it was perfect.

Grand Oaks Country ClubOur wedding was on a beautifully crisp, fall day at Grand Oaks Country Club in Staten Island. Our intimate outdoor ceremony was officiated by Mitch the Minister and accompanied by cellist Maria Jeffers and guitarist Vin Downes. Afterwards, in celebration of “tying the knot”, we enjoyed fresh pretzels 🥨, fall sangria by the fireplace , and listened to a live band. The reception was held upstairs, and was a perfect combination of delicious Italian food, great music (DJ Danny Estrella from M2M), and heartwarming speeches. The night ended with a barista bar prepared by Sí Espresso and fresh hot zeppoli. Of course, heart-shaped pizzas were delivered to the hotel for the after party! Photos: Claudia McDade
