Don and Marisa had quite the quintessential “New York City” proposal. It took place at the Time Life Building which is right in front of the iconic Radio City Music Hall. New Yorkers walking the streets, cabs driving by–this is exactly what Don wanted. He told Marisa that they were going out to dinner with his boss because of the great job he did at his speaking engagement for work. They met up at their usual subway spot after work and Don told Marisa that his boss got them a car to take them to dinner. As they were walking out of the subway station, Don points and says, “I think the car is over there; but all of your friends and family are right here”. Don turns Marisa around, gets down on one knee, and proposes in front of their nearest and dearest. Afterwards, everyone came back to Marisa and Don’s apartment to continue the celebration.
About the Dress
My dress was a gorgeous Bliss by Monique Lhuillier blush gown. I originally had another style in mind but as soon as I put this dress on, I knew it was “the one”. I felt so beautiful in that dress on my wedding day!
About the Wedding
August 27, 2016 //
West Orange, New Jersey //
The Wilshire Grand
Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of and more! It was extra special as Don converted to Judaism a few weeks prior to the wedding. Our officiant was the Rabbi that we studied with which made the ceremony so personal and special. It was so meaningful and wonderful to see all of our friends and family come together to celebrate with us.
