Chris and I met during freshman year of college in Philadelphia. It wasn’t until junior year of college that we started dating.
Chris proposed to me in an intimate setting a week before Christmas on December 16, 2023. It was a family gathering with his and my family at his parents’ house. I ran out to do some errands with his mom to pick up food for dinner and when we came back to the house, I opened the front door to a path of rose petals lined with candle light. At the end of the path, Chris was there down on one knee. Balloons were behind him that read, “Will You Marry Me?”
About the Dress
Kleinfeld Consultant:
Candace B.
Kleinfeld is the first and only bridal store that I went to! My mother got her wedding dress at Kleinfeld, so I knew that I would find my dress there too. I only tried on about 7-8 gowns total. The funny part is that after researching dresses on Kleinfeld’s website, I had one gown in mind that I thought was going to be the one. I asked about it and showed my bridal consultant. She pulled the gown for me and once I tried it on, I quickly realized that I was not a fan. But, the dress I ended up choosing is the sister dress of the one I thought I would like!
I ultimately picked the Blanche Bridal Esmee gown. I fell in love with the details and the fit of the dress immediately. I loved the long train and my consultant paired it with the most perfect long matching veil. The embroidery of the dress reminded me a bit of my culture. Handmade Filipino designs have a lot of detail and embroidery, which made me fall even more in love with it.
