Geoff and I have known each other since freshman year of college and our friendship blossomed into more during our senior year of college. After nearly seven years together, Geoff surprised me at our favorite place in upstate New York by Lake Cayuga where he got down on one knee and proposed. It was an evening full of celebration and joy with our family. He knocked it out of the park!
About the Dress
When it was time to look for a wedding dress, scheduling an appointment at Kleinfeld was a no brainer! My mother along with many other women in my family got their dresses from Kleinfeld, so of course, I was going to follow along with the tradition.
Unfortunately, the day of the appointment was not a happy one for my family. My grandmother, who was very close to me and my now husband, was very ill. We had been staying in New York City to be with her, but we decided to keep our appointment. I tried on five dresses and when I put on the last one, we all started to cry. My gown was the One and Only gown by Sareh Nouri. I knew it was the one. Thankfully, I was able to show my grandmother a picture of the dress that night. She passed away soon after and I’m so grateful that I was able to tell her about my experience wedding dress shopping.
About the Wedding
Married:
September 6, 2025 //
Location:
Aurora, New York //
Venue:
Inns of Aurora
Our theme of the wedding was defined by one word: intention. For us, weddings have always felt like a reunion, a chance for the most important people in our lives to gather, celebrate, and of course, dance! We wanted every aspect of our wedding to have meaning and with our incredible team of wedding planners, photographers, and the venue, they were able to make it happen! The chuppah was made by hand by my husband and father-in-law with wood from the house he grew up in. We also designed and made our own rings by hand. It was a magical evening and we keep replaying it in our minds over and over again!
