Kleinfeld Love Stories

Kaitlyn & Matthew - 9/27/19

About the Proposal

Engaged:

November 24, 2018

My husband and I got invited to go to the Moody Gardens Festival of Lights in Galveston Texas, we went with 2 other couples. Once we got to Moody Gardens we started to walk under the lights. My husband said, “Hey! Let’s go take a picture by the big Christmas tree.” We stood in front of the tree and took a picture. As I was walking to my friend to look at her phone and see the picture, Matt said, “ How about we take a picture like this?” As I walked back to the tree Matthew got down one knee and told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. It took him maybe a good 30-45 seconds to get the ring box out of his cowboy boot. Once he got the box out of the boot, he turned the box around twice because we could not find the opening. He opened the box and he asked me to be his wife. Of course I said yes!

About the Dress

Kleinfeld Consultant:

Antonella

I surprised my mom with a trip to New York about 5-6 months prior to becoming engaged. At the time of me surprising my mom with the trip, we knew Matthew was going to propose, we just didn’t know when. Once we got to Kleinfeld I had a few dresses in mind but, I wasn’t quite set on a certain dress type. When I met with my consultant, I showed her some pictures so she knew my style. I wanted an A-line silhouette with a sweetheart neckline and some type of strap. I was trying on different dresses until finally I found the one. Once I put the one dress that was perfect for me on, I looked at my mom and we just both started to cry. Once I realized that this was the dress for me, I got asked the most famous question, “Are you saying yes to the dress?” With tears running down my face and a huge smile I said, “ I am saying yes to the dress!”

About the Wedding

Married:

September 27, 2019  //

Location:

Montgomery, Texas  //

Venue:

The Farmhouse

My wedding was casual but elegant, it was very fun. Of course there were some hiccups in our ceremony but, it wouldn’t be a funny and great ceremony without them. I had a photo booth during the reception to keep guests that were outside entertained. To get all the guests on the dance floor, and to have a picture with everyone my DJ asked everyone to go on the dance floor because my husband and I wanted a group photo. After the picture was taken, everyone stayed on the dance floor and had a great time.
