Jack proposed to Jeanmarie on Sept. 7th in 2019. The couple had just moved in together a few weeks prior and wanted to have a housewarming party with their closest friends & family. Little did Jeanmarie know, the housewarming party was actually going to turn into an engagement party that evening. One of Jeanmarie’s friends asked her to grab a drink with her before guests were arriving at their apartment. In order to get to the bar they were going to, the couple had to walk through Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. As they were walking through the park, Jack got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Afterwards, they ended up going to a different location where all of their friends & family were at to celebrate their engagement.
About the Dress
Martina Liana //
I told Lisa that I wanted an ivory lace dress with a long, dramatic train and cloth buttons. We brought out the Martina Liana 1074 and I knew it was the dress of my dreams. It had everything that I wanted – it was a mix of classy, traditional and boho. The original style of the dress doesn’t have cloth buttons but we were able to customize it so we could change the buttons and extend the train. The train was so long on my wedding day that at least two of my bridesmaids had to help me carry it!! Lisa was my consultant and absolutely amazing – we had so much fun together trying on the dresses.
Right before I said “YES!”, they brought out a Michelle Roth veil and it went with the dress perfectly. I absolutely loved my dress and couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Kleinfeld.
About the Wedding
Philadelphia, PA //
Ceremony: Saint Patrick Church, Reception: Crystal Tea Room
Our wedding ceremony was at the historic Saint Patrick’s Church in Philadelphia. We started our wedding day getting married at the church then had our reception at the Crystal Tea Room in downtown Philadelphia. We live in Philly and decided to have a downtown wedding since it’s the city we love and live in! Our church and venue were absolutely perfect and my dress looked amazing on the altar as I got married to my husband.
