When I met Ryan I was at a point in my life where I thought I would never get married. We met online (the last place where I thought I would find someone) on Tinder. We were only dating for a year and half And while I felt like he was the one I had no idea he was going to propose so soon.
It was 12/24/17 Christmas Eve and bit of a cold day. Ryan asked me to take our usual walk on the beach with our dog Sadie. As we were walking his shoe was untied and told Ryan to tie it. He yelled it’s fine don’t worry about and I said okay. Little did I know he had a sign under his shirt he didn’t want to crush. Ryan kept asking if I loved him and I said yes (in my head I kept wondering why he kept me this asking). I walked ahead of him and when I turned around he was down on one knee with a sign on our dog “will you marry my daddy”. I cried and yelled are you kidding me! It was the most amazing day.
About the Dress
As soon as I got engaged I knew I had to go to Kleinfeld to find my dress. I took my mother, sister, sister in law, and mother in law. It was a Pnina trunk show and she had so many beautiful dresses on display. However, there was one dress that caught my eye and I had to try it on. It was a fitted dress with the most incredible lace and illusion sweet heart neckline. As soon as I put the dress on I knew it was the one. My mother cried while my mother in law took pictures even though she wasn’t supposed to (gotta love her). Paula was my consultant and she was very helpful. We had such an amazing experience at Kleinfeld’s and I am so glad I got my dress there.
About the Wedding
Southold, NY //
Peconic Bay Yacht
Ryan and I are big boaters and we wanted a wedding that represented us. We were married in Southold, New York at Saint Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church followed by a reception at the Peconic Bay Yacht Club. Since our venue was right on the water we decided to use our boat as our entrance to our wedding reception. It was the most amazing experience!
