Kleinfeld Love Stories

Catherine & Frank - 11/8/19

About the Proposal

Engaged:

December 30, 2017

December 30, 2017 was one of the coldest days that winter. We spent the morning relaxing and recovering from Franks brother’s wedding from the night before. By early evening, Frank said “come on, let’s go to the city”. I argued on why we would we go into the city on such a cold day and that we were so tired from dancing (and drinking) from the night before. Well. Frank finally won by telling me he had made dinner reservations. Food is always the way to my heart! We took a bus into the city and got off near Central Park. Frank told me to walk through Central Park, that it would be a shortcut to dinner. I swear we walked over 2 miles in the freezing cold to only show up to a horse drawn carriage. Frank informed me that this was how we were going to dinner. We hopped in, and the ride took us all the way we just walked! A photographer took our picture as we stopped at different locations of the park. Once we got to the Bow Bridge, Frank dropped to one knee and asked to spend forever with me. I instantly started sobbing! As soon as I said yes, I heard cheering approaching and realized Franks brother and wife, as well as our good college friend had watched everything  from afar! I was so happy he listened to my one request of having a professional photographer capture our moment. It was truly a cold magical day!

About the Dress

Kleinfeld Consultant:

Michelle

I have dreamed of saying  Yes to the Dress at Kleinfeld before I was ever in a serious relationship! Once I was engaged, that was top priority to get an appointment! I scheduled my first appointment within 4 months of being engaged, with almost a 2 year engagement.  With all the opinions and mixed emotions from my crew, I said yes to a beautiful ballgown. A few months go by and when I was 8 months out of my wedding, I was having second thoughts. I called Kleinfeld who were able to check that my first dress production hadn’t been started and that I could come in the very next day for a second appointment. This time, I took just my mom and said YES! Again, to a stunning fit and flare. This was a style I never imagined I would walk down the aisle in, but it made me feel so powerful and confident with my curves! I knew I definitely made the right choice, the second time. I can’t thank my consultant, Michelle enough! She was amazing and so patient with my indecisiveness. My experience at Kleinfeld was beyond what I ever imagined!

Location:

Franklin Square, New York  //

Venue:

Sand Castle

I know it’s cliche to say, but our wedding was seriously the best day of our lives! November 8, 2019 was absolutely perfect in every way. We had a beautiful church ceremony at my husbands parish, St. Mels in Whitestone, NY. Our reception then took place in Franklin Square, NY at the Sand Castle. The staff at the Sand Castle are true professionals and the entire day was flawless! We were treated like true Royalty. Our guests raved over the endless amount of delicious food and attentive service. The Sand Castle is such a hidden gem on Long Island, and I couldn’t imagine my wedding any better anywhere else!
