Amelia and Ryan Little - 6/22/18

About the Proposal

Engaged:

July 4, 2016

Ryan and I went on a vacation with family and friends to Disney World before he deployed to Japan for 8 months.

I should’ve been suspicious when my sister was adamant about doing my hair and dressing cute even though it was going to be 98 degrees outside. Now looking back the events leading up to this perfect moment are surreal and somewhat hilarious. The second we got to the Magic Kingdom there seemed to be a rush to get out of the car and to the destination. Somehow I was convinced to run in the unbearable heat to get to the castle because a parade was coming and we had to get the perfect pictures before they shut everything down.

We arrived at the infamous Disney castle and Ryan and I were ushered to pose first. My best friends dad apparently had no idea that the proposal was about to happen and jumped right in to take some photos with us. After the group got him out of our photo opt… Ryan got down on one knee and proposed… And in my complete shock and happiness I couldn’t stop crying but I was able to say YES. It was truly the most incredible moment and it was even more magical because my friends and family were there with us.

About the Dress

Kleinfeld Consultant:

Deborah Asprea

Kleinfeld was truly a part of the fairytale wedding dream. My sister and I grew up watching “Say Yes to the Dress” so naturally when I got engaged we knew we had to make an appointment. I am still in awe of my experience at Kleinfeld and so thankful for the team who made all my wedding dress dreams come true.

I actually went to Kleinfeld twice. The first time I went with my mom and sister while Ryan was deployed and said “Yes to the dress” I think the excitement of the big day really got to me and I found myself second guessing if the dress was for me. My second appointment I brought my mom, sister and bridesmaid Kaitlyn with me. After putting on the first dress I said yes to, I quickly realized that it was not the one for me. I was looking for something more romantic and truly unique. I ended finding the most beautiful Pnina Tornai wedding dress. The dress was all white lace with a sweetheart neckline. I was able to add loop buttons down the back and I completed the look with delicate headpiece and Pnina veil with appliqués added.

The dress was truly stunning for my perfect day and I was beaming when I walked down the aisle for Ryan to see me the first time.

About the Wedding

Married:

June 22, 2018  //

Location:

Long Island, New York  //

Venue:

Pellegrini Vineyards

Ryan and I got married on June 22, 2018. Our wedding was at Pellegrini Vineyards on the North Fork of Long Island.  We were married under a Chuppa in front of the vines at the vineyard. Ryan and I opted out of a first look and instead saw each other for the first time when I walked down the aisle, it was truly the most magical moment, and I am so glad we took the tradition route because his reaction was priceless. We exchanged our own vows during the ceremony and despite feeling like we were the only ones in that moment; when I whispered asking if we could kiss yet, we were quickly reminded of our friends and family who interrupted our thoughts with laughter.

Following the ceremony, our guests walked through the vines with our signature sangria and enjoyed cocktail hour. My parents surprised us with a live painter, who was busy painting the landscape as cocktail hour began.  Anyone who knows a New York wedding knows that it is all about the food. From the pasta station to the raw bar, I think the crowd favorite was the ahi tune accompanied with a sake shot.

The rest of the night was mixed with dancing, laughing, crying, and of course eating. Our crazy crew 12 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen opened up the reception with show stopping entrances. We cried through my Father’s opening toast and my sister/maid of honor’s speech. We laughed through the best man speech and continued to laugh when Ryan (the groom) and the best man performed their infamous dance, and it is now definitely infamous because the best man ripped his pants in the middle of it. We ended the night with cake in our faces, a donut wall and a surprise bourbon bar for the groom and his friends. After the last dance we enjoyed a sparkler send off, beginning our happily ever after.
