Matt and Ally love their walks around Central Park, so Matt knew this was the setting where he wanted the proposal to be. To keep it a secret from Ally, he told her they were meeting up with two of their friends whom they haven’t seen in six months due to the pandemic. He got them in on the plan and they even spoke about their meetup time, location etc. in their group chat so Ally wasn’t thrown off guard. When they got to the park and walked under historic Gothic Bridge, that’s when Matt confessed their friends weren’t coming and he got down on one knee.

When it came to Ally’s wedding dress, she began the online search looking for simple, modern, and elegant designs as she wanted that ‘Audrey Hepburn’ feel. She found a beautiful dress on the Kleinfeld website called the “Ashford” dress by the designer Michelle Roth. “It had this unique square neckline I’ve never seen on a dress before, a corset bodice I always imagined myself in, and the simplicity and classic style I always wanted. It definitely gave me those ‘Audrey Hepburn’ vibes! Krissy, who was my consultant from Kleinfeld, knew ahead of time this was a dress I wanted to try on and she had it ready and waiting for me when I got to my appointment. The minute I had it on, my expectations were exceeded by a million and I said “YES!” immediately!”

When it came to planning the wedding, Ally & Matt knew they wanted a Long Island venue as that’s where most of their family is from. They came across Heritage Club at Bethpage in Farmingdale, NY and it checked off all of boxes. One of the most important things they were looking in a venue was large spaces with an equally beautiful outdoor and indoor setting should weather be an issue. The wedding date of April 30 was ultimately chosen since they wanted a spring wedding on a Saturday, and this day was Ally’s birthday!
