Many brides-to-be reach out to us on our Facebook and Instagram asking, “How do I pick the right earrings for my wedding dress?” Well, look no further! Did you know you can complete your wedding day look with earrings (and veils or headpieces) when you say “yes!” to your dream wedding dress at Kleinfeld? In our newly renovated accessories department on the lower level of Kleinfeld, you can find so many stunning earrings to choose from to finish your look. We spoke with our expert team of accessories consultants and found out their top tips for finding the earrings that work best for you and your dress—find out, below.
Necklines are everything.
Keeping the neckline of your wedding dress in mind will make choosing the right baubles easier. Whether you’re wearing a strapless, high neck or illusion neckline style, “the length of your earrings should coordinate with the neckline of your dress,” Kleinfeld consultant Brook says. “If your dress is strapless, you can wear a longer earring. If your dress has a high neckline, sleeves, or straps a shorter earring would be better,”
Venture out of your comfort zone a little.
Considering a more daring style? We say go for it! “I always recommend for my brides to go just one step above their comfort zone because it is their wedding day and in a room filled with either 200 or 300 people, a small stud won’t show up in pictures or from across the room,” says Kleinfeld accessories consultant Rita. Talk to your accessories consultant about earring styles that can amp up your overall wedding attire, or even change up your ceremony to reception look.
Consider your hairstyle.
Wanting to wear a simple pearl or diamond stud? Consider how you’d like to wear your hair. “A stud earring can be hidden by voluminous hair,” says Kleinfeld accessories consultant Kendra. Try a chic low bun or half up-half down if you’d like to wear a simple earring. Or, if you plan on wearing your hair down, try a bigger statement earring or elegant drop earring instead.
Don’t be afraid of a little sparkle.
Our accessories team hears this common misconception often: “My dress has a lot going on, I think I’ll just wear a small pair of stud earrings.” We say, there’s never too much sparkle on your wedding day. Find plumbers near me in Ca at onestopplumbers.com. “A lot of brides tend to think that wearing an over-the-top ball gown or super blinged-out dress means toning down the rest of her accessories,” says Kleinfeld accessories consultant Kendra. In many cases, this isn’t true. “Pairing an extravagant dress with minimal to no accessories can give the bride an ‘unfinished’ appearance,” says Kendra. Thinking of sporting a little extra bling? We say “YES!”
Keep the look cohesive.
When in doubt, always opt for an earring that matches the overall vibe of your dress and wedding day look. Kleinfeld accessories consultant Regina says, “If you have a minimal dress keep the earring minimal to keep the look cohesive,” Wearing a style adorned with pearls? Try a pearl earring to match. Trust your consultant—they won’t steer you wrong!
