For more than 70 years, thousands of brides have traveled to Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City to find their wedding day looks. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’ll feel the magic of Kleinfeld. Not only does Kleinfeld have 30,000 square feet filled with the largest selection of wedding dresses in the world, it also has the greatest professional staff of over 200 employees who are dedicated to finding and perfecting your bridal look.
Not a bride, but want to visit Kleinfeld? We’ve rounded up our top tips on how to visit Kleinfeld as a fan and take in as much Kleinfeld as you can possibly handle. Read on to prepare for your visit!
Visit during the week.
Weekends at Kleinfeld are our busiest, so we definitely suggest visiting during the week. While brides who have an appointment are free to enter the main salon, visitors are sometimes able to stand in the lobby and peek into the main salon from the grand archway to watch brides say “yes!” to the gowns of their dreams. Stop by during business hours and take photos in front of our Kleinfeld sign in the lobby (just above the reception desk) to get that Kleinfeld experience as well. Keep in mind that we’re closed Mondays, but we’re also open late Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Check out Kleinfeld Bridal Party with your squad.
Just up the steps off of our lobby is our Kleinfeld Bridal Party boutique—the perfect place to browse with your friends if you’re in town visiting! With over 250 styles to look at (including mother of the bride too!) and a swatch wall to mix and match fabrics and colors, the Kleinfeld Bridal Party boutique is a great way to visit Kleinfeld without a bridal selection appointment. Browse the samples in store and work with our consultants to order your dress online in sizes 2-24 and have it shipped directly to you, without the hassle. Plus, our exclusive bridesmaids collection is great for every budget, as the entire collection is priced all under $200. Pro tip: If you’d like to try on dresses with your group, definitely make an appointment ahead of time.
Browse accessories downstairs.
You don’t need an appointment to shop our wide selection of accessories—head downstairs to visit our accessories department and browse jewelry, headpieces, veils and a selection of shoes. Plus, our accessories department connects to our alterations department, so there’s a chance you’ll catch a bride being fitted in her wedding dress.
Head across the street to our sample studio.
Did you know that you can shop Kleinfeld wedding dresses at a discount and take them home with you the same day? You heard us right. Take a walk just across the street to shop sample wedding dresses, veils, headpieces and accessories without an appointment at the Kleinfeld Sample Studio. Inventory changes daily, so feel free to stop by a few times during your stay in NYC!
Take pictures in front of our windows.
Besides carrying the widest selection of wedding dresses in the country, Kleinfeld is also known for our award-winning windows. Make sure to get a few photos under our grey awnings with our fun and unique windows in the background—each window design doesn’t stick around for long!
Pose in front of our Kleinfeld photo booth.
Before you end your visit, make sure to stand in front of our step-and-repeat, grab a fun prop and take photos with our Kleinfeld photo booth! The best part—the machine will email the photos right to you.
Done visiting? There’s plenty to do in the area.
Once you’ve finished visiting Kleinfeld, there’s tons more to explore in the neighborhood. Just a few blocks north, you’ll find yourself at the Flatiron building (a great photo op). Hungry? Grab a bite at Chelsea Market or at the Union Square Farmers Market. Looking for a view? We suggest walking the High Line, or strolling 20 minutes uptown to the Empire State Building. If you’re looking for a little retail therapy, the infamous shops on 5th avenue extend all the way down to the Flatiron District (where Kleinfeld is located), so you can shop ’til you drop!
