Engaged:

Joey and I started dating in 2005 when we were both in high school. 13 years later on a cruise Joey told me he planned on proposing. He knew that he wanted us to pick out the ring together as he wanted me to have a say in something that I would wear for the rest of my life. The Saturday after returning from our cruise we went into Boston and picked out the perfect ring.

Two weeks later (when I thought the ring wasn’t ready yet) Joey surprised me at home with a proposal that truly surprised me. He made sure to involve our cat Hunter which made it extra special. The next morning we flew to the Bahamas and celebrated all weekend!

I was so excited to be at Kleinfeld’s with my mom and my sister! This is something that we had always talked about. After looking at a few dresses, I fell in love with the top of a Pnina Tornai dress. It had just the right amount of crystals that I absolutely loved! The only problem was that I did not love the bottom. Luckily Pnina was in the store and came in to personally check out the dress and help me pick out another bottom that she could have custom made for me. I was so excited and couldn’t believe that my wedding dress was going to be a custom Pnina gown!

In 1993 my grandparents bought a home in Marco Island, Florida. Little did I know how special of a place it would become to me. It is my favorite place in the world and ever since I was 5 I knew that I wanted to get married there. Over the 13 years that Joey and I dated before becoming engaged, he fell in love with Marco as well. It was never a question of where we would get married and we are beyond happy we were able to pull off such a beautiful destination wedding!

On April 12th, 2019 Joey and I married on the beach at the JW Marriott in Marco Island, Florida. 110 of our closest family and friends were able to travel and celebrate our special day with us.
