About the Proposal

September 22, 2016

Although (my now) husband and I had been together for 6 years when he proposed, I was completely shocked. Zack surprised me in our apartment on our way out to dinner with a very untraditional proposal as I was getting ready. Nothing fancy at all… no flowers, no candles, no hollywood movie scene, it was just us (and our puppy) and his amazing words filled with love and passion that completely changed my world. It took me 20 minutes to say yes.

About the Dress

Le Spose Di Gio  //

Kleinfeld Consultant:

I had thought I knew what I wanted in my wedding dress. Something form fitting, lace and trendy. I soon realized with the help of my best friend and family that as soon as I tried on a more traditional ball gown style, a tight corset top and a skirt, that that was the style for me. Going into Kleinfeld I had this idea in mind and I knew Kleinfeld would be just the place, I would follow in my mom’s foot steps, as she got her dress in the original Brooklyn location almost 35 years ago. This was the very first dress I tried on at Kleinfeld and I KNEW it was the one. When I put it on my family and best friend began to stand up and move closer to surround me, they were speechless. Other bridal attendants approached me to tell me this dress was made for me, and although it was a size 4 sample and I couldn’t breathe in it,  I was OVERJOYED. A feeling I truly only imagined but was even more surreal in that moment of saying ‘yes’. Judith told me that if I tried it on it would be ‘the one’ and she was 100% right. That moment with my loved ones around me, meant everything to me. I never felt more beautiful and I could not wait for my future husband to see me in it.

About the Wedding

September 17, 2017  //

Tarrytown, NY  //

Tappan Hill Mansion

It was the absolute best day of our lives. Tappan Hill in Tarrytown is one of the most whimsical and romantic places we have ever been. Overlooking the Hudson River, Tappan Hill is the former estate of Mark Twain and it truly feels like you are in a fairy-tail when you are there.

How lucky we were to have the 5 star catering company, Abigail Kirsch. An 8 piece band from Hal Prince, our florist was Forever In Bloom of Mt. Kisco, NY and the venue of our dreams? We made sure to not overlook one little detail, and what we walked into on September 17th was truly a fairy-tail dream come true. We had a traditional conservative Jewish/Sephardic wedding overlooking the Hudson River at sunset, we shared our own written vows to each other, the space filled with laughter and tears. We danced the night away.

However, most importantly was being surrounded by our loved ones. No wedding big or small really matters at all, if there is no love, energy and support to surround you. We have never felt more love and happiness in our lives than we did on that day, and we still cannot come down from that high.
