Born in 1969 in Sant'Elpidio a Mare, a small town on the hills in the center of Italy, Roberto graduates in fashion design in 1986, then attends several seminars and obtains master's degree.
Very young starts working as a designer of shoes and embroideries, and participates important national competitions: in 1992 wins "Moda Marche", a prestigious prize chaired by Donatella Girombelli, President of the Italian brand Jenny; in 1995 wins the fashion prize "Moda e Modi"; in 2000 wins the fashion prize "Mondo Moda", in Pisa.
In 1996 he joins the Roman Atelier of Sorelle Fontana, one of the very first brands making Italy the country of fashion. This is the experience where Roberto more closely approaches haute couture.
For over 20 years he designs and brings to international success some of the most important Italian bridal collections.
In 2014, strong of his long experience and a tireless passion, together with a trusted team Roberto Formentini founds Iris Noble, a brand aimed to become the new expression of Italian bridal fashion.
