Our Consultants Talk 2021 Wedding Dress Trends

2021 is just around the corner, and for those getting married late next year and into 2022, it’s time to shop! We asked our Kleinfeld consultants to gaze into their crystal balls and predict what trends are on the horizon for 2021, and trust us when we say that the future looks bright! Find out what our stylists expect to see down the aisle next year, below.

Embossed fabrics.

“We’re going to see many more clean gowns with structures in the actual fabrics,” says consultant Candace. That means, rather than a design sewn into the fabric, the fabric itself is embossed with a beautiful pattern. Your guests will be blown away by the subtle beauty and your dress will look even better in photos.

Square necklines.

“I’m predicting we’ll see a lot of square neck styles in 2021” says consultant Mindy. With 90s fashion coming back full force, this style of neckline pays homage to the decade and happens to look ultra flattering!

Texture and dimension.

“I think brides will be looking for more elegance and romance this year,” says consultant Lisa. Texture and dimension in the form of petals, vines, leaves and tonal beading are great ways to show off your elegant side, she explains. We personally love beaded and embroidered floral patterns on dresses, like this stunning Danielle Caprese style.

Off the shoulder styles.

“I think we will continue to see off the shoulder options,” says consultant Kelsey. Whether you opt for a simple draped off the shoulder sleeve or a full, dramatic, long sleeve off the shoulder look, this style will definitely remain in fashion.

Calling all minimalist brides! Clean and simple looks are always in style, says consultant Lisa. “The classic sophistication of clean, elegant lines draw attention to the brides’ beauty, and will always prevail,” she says.

Traditional ball gowns.

Tradition is called tradition for a reason—and consultant Candace predicts that ball gowns are here to stay. “We’re always receiving brand new traditional ball gowns for the traditional bride,” she says.
