JIM HJELM
Francesca Pitera is the designer behind the Jim Hjelm name. A graduate of the esteemed Otis
Art Institute/Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles, Francesca parlayed her passion for
creating eveningwear into designing the most memorable and important gown a woman will ever
wear - her bridal dress. Moving to NYC has heightened Francesca's creativity for design as she
draws inspiration from museums, art shows and the expression of individual style.
Combining textures, colors and lace, Francesca creates gowns that are classic and feminine with
a touch of sensuality to make every bride the epitome of style and grace; her silhouettes
flatter all body types. Lace wrap jackets, delicate floral accents, intricate beading and
hand-embroidery that swirl around the entire dress are details not overlooked by Francesca.

style. I like to play with the balance of the latest trends and classic styles to create
timeless yet unique gowns."
