Frustrated by her search for a simple, yet sophisticated gown for her 1985 nuptials to film
executive Neil Brown, Amsale designed her own wedding dress. From there, her line of classic
dresses with a modern point-of-view. was launched. Amsale even sold her first design to
Kleinfeld, who has welcomed her back season after season for exclusive trunk shows. Amsale’s
designs are sophisticated with elegant, understated beading.
