Princess Kate - It's Official

It's Official - The Royal Wedding is over and the bridal industry buzz has begun about Princess Kate's gown.

The gown, designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen's fashion house was perfection. The English Cunly lace appliques was perfectly stitched into place - rumor has it that The Royal School of Needlework members who helped the Alexander McQueen team in producing the gown washed their hands every 30 minutes to keep the lace and threads pristine, and the needles were renewed every three hours, to keep them sharp and clean.

The incredible workmanship and detail that was put in to this gown is just amazing. The sweetheart neckline was very modern - about 80% of our Kleinfeld brides are wearing that style/silhouette today. The effect of the added English Cluny lace vneck on top of the sweetheart neckline created the illusion of a plunging neckline. The dutchess satin princess ball gown with box pleats gave the full skirt a very regal feel when she stepped into Westminster Abbey. Truly fit for a modern day princess.
