"'Twas the Night Before Christmas at Kleinfeld - Holiday Windows!"

Kleinfeld Holiday Windows are unveiled and perhaps you recognize their story! The following is our version of the classic poem, "’Twas the Night before Christmas," as written by a member of our Marketing & Public Relations department. "’Twas the Night before Christmas" Kleinfeld Rendition

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Kleinfeld
Not a thread being sewn, not a single bead weld.
The dresses were hung in the salon with care,
In hopes that new brides soon would be there.

The consultants were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of tulle ball gowns danced in their heads.
And Mara in her 'kerchef, and Ronnie in his cap,
Had just settled down for a nice Christmas nap.

When out in the windows there arose such a clatter,
They sprang from their offices to see what was the matter.
Away to the window they flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.


The moon on the breast of 20th Street snow
Gave the luster of mid-day to the store below.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But a Christmas Eve robbery, Oh my dear!


With Benjamin Adams decorating her feet,
They thought, 'What a crime for such a stylish thief!'
When away the thief fled with her jewels into the night,
As the queens watched helplessly in terrible fright:


The queen of hearts bellowed; Rupaul gave a shriek,
Queen Elizabeth the First turned a disapproving cheek!
With the robbery complete, Mara and Ronnie proclaimed,
"We will find the Thomas Knoell jewels and the bandit to blame!"

The night passed so slowly, the clocks tick-tocked on,
Worry and concern interspersed with some yawns.
The moon began setting; the sun could be seen,
When the phone rang with news from the NYPD:


"We’ve caught some suspects, you must come and see!"
The officer explained with relief and glee,
"I warn you, they aren’t the typical crooks,
But they all seem suspicious; don’t be fooled by their looks."


The first in the line up was good ol’ Saint Nick,
But where was his belly and red suit outfit?
Dressed in Randy Fenoli for Kleinfeld Men,
Imposter he must be, too chic and too trim!


The next was Queen Narnia, such beauty and grace;
Why would she steal from another Queen’s safe?
Her Pnina dress sparkled, her smile so warm,
She couldn't have committed a crime so forlorn!


Third stood the Nutcracker so proper and tall,
Guilty he could not be, he’s but a toy after all.
But the toy dressed too finely in Kleinfeld Men Classic;
His tuxedo so well tailored, it must be a trick!


And lastly came Rudolf, a friendly reindeer,
Wearing Kleinfeld Men Modern, what trendy gear!
He can’t be a thief, this reindeer is too merry!
Though tangled in Christmas lights did make him look wary.

And so they concluded that none were guilty,
Some suspicious, but none criminals or cheats.
When just as it seemed like a hopeless case,
A fifth suspect overlooked, for he took up no space!


From afar he looked harmless, so tiny and meek,
He disguised as a mouse, even let out a squeak!
But his thievery was known, his rouse did not fool,
Bernie Madoff is to blame for stealing the jewels!

With the culprit captured, the jewels safely back,
Away to the store returned the Kleinfeld pack.
There were presents and friends and Christmas Day Bliss,
No trouble, however big, could ruin a Kleinfeld Christmas.

And Mara and Ronnie exclaimed, at seeing this sight,
"Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good night!"
