New @ Kleinfeld: Kenneth Pool!

Tulle has made a comeback! Here is one of the hot trends this season I've seen coming down the bridal runways and now into our salon. The full tulle ballgown that disappeared for almost a decade has resurfaced in all its glory.

Tulle, the fabric that is used to make veils, has been used for many decades on gowns. I'm sure many of you have seen photos of the masterpieces designed by Christian Dior from the 1950's and 1960's. Well here's the modern, yet timeless 2010 version by Kenneth Pool.

We just received this regal, yet ethereal tulle ballgown and the girls are already asking for it. It's light! It's airy! It's romantic! It's regal! The very talented Amsale is now designing the Kenneth Pool Collection and she has a wonderful artistic sensibility for proportion and attention to detail.

Because of the exquisite beading at the waistline, this dress transforms into a majestic princess-like gown perfect for any grand ballroom. Imagine walking into your reception with the soft flickering lights from thousands of candles reflecting off the Swarovski crystals. The criss-cross draping of tulle on the bodice is very flattering and combined with the sweetheart neckline can really enhance a woman with a smaller bust. If you have a really large bust however, I would be careful, as this may expose too much cleavage for you and just further enhance what you already have.

The great thing about tulle is that it can be worn year-round. I could see this frothy dress fitting in perfectly for a winter-themed wedding, but because it is so light and airy, I could also see it floating on the sandy beaches of a destination ceremony. What an unexpected surprise your guests will have seeing the formality of this gown contrast with the natural outdoor setting. AND, if there is any sunlight or glimmering sunset, the crystals are going to sparkle and dance like MAD!

Don't forget to book your appointment early for the Kenneth Pool trunkshow on September 11th, 12th, and 13th. They are planning on bringing the entire Fall 2009 Collection!

So tell me, what do you think girls?

WOW!!! What a beautiful dress! Any bride would be lucky to wear such a spectacular dress. And to all of you would be brides: limit the amount of people you bring to help you pick out a dress, don't bring the bride-groom with you ( keep the dress as a surprise for him), and remember that your dress is about you! Don't let others dictate ( even your mother) what YOU want! And with a dress like this, you can't go wrong!

This dress is GORGEOUS! I love the beaded waist, it looks like diamonds! And usually I feel like a big tulle skirt would make anyone over a size 4 look big, but this one looks just perfect! DEFINITELY order more of these if you can Randy!
